    Awsome Stochastic [Contest]

    Account number: 2186816
    Investor password: rinaji2014
    Server: Roboforex demo
    Type: divergence trading
    Working Timeframe: H1 or higher
    Currency pairs: EURUSD or any

    Description:

I've been using this strategy a year ago, at first I learned about divergence, and I observed that awesome oscillator (AO) is a good indicator for use in the method of divergence. I am using the default settings. But it turns out I was not satisfied with the results that I get, and then I add stochastic oscillator (setting: 8.3.3) as a filter. So here I am using 2 oscillator indicators (awesome and stochastic).

Productivity of this system is pretty good, above 60% win. But I know that it is the results that I get in about a year ago. I think the current market conditions is different from a year ago. So, Is this system still works well. Let's test.

    2014-04-27_212556.jpg

Entry points when stochastic oscillator crossing of 50 value.
Stop loss: sell order = put 5 pips or more above nearest resistance/ highest price
buy order = put 5 pips or more below nearest support/ lowest price

    Take profit: Nearest support-resistance, or overbought/oversold stochastic, or based on the ratio of SL:TP (1:1 SL:TP or !:2 SL:TP or 1:3 SL:TP).

    Money and trade management:
No more than 10% of the initial capital (for each transaction), and could use the compound method.

    Short GBP/USD
    Order 68043150
    Entry price 1.6871, stop-loss 1.6920, take profit - n/a, exit price 1.6860 by signal
Outcome +10 pips (+5.1% per capital or 51 USD)

I found a weak signal on gbp/usd, maybe I could call as signal level 2.
Then I tried to entry using 0.5 lot size ($ 0.5 / ppips).
    Stop loss = 49 pips.
    %Risk: (49 * $ 0.5): $ 1,000 = 0.0245 * 100% = 2.45%.
Exit manually after oversold on the stochastic oscillator.
Should be satisfied with the outcome that I get, I do not expect more from the movement of the market today.

Outcome +5 pips (+2.36% per capital or 23.69 USD)

Stochastic re-touched after crossing 50 value, this indicates that the market will move sideways. I closed the position when the price touches the support level in the sideway area.

    Order 68043054
Entry price 1.3874, stop-loss 1.3895, take profit - n/a, exit price 1.3895 by stop loss
Outcome -21 pips (-1% per capital or -10.05 USD)

I open a short positions on eur/usd, based on signals from H1, but this is a weak signal, so I just use 0.05 lot size. And then stochastic oscillator retouched 50 value, an indication for the sideway market, but I did not close the position because I only use small lot size (risk = 1%).

Quite difficult to find a valid signal in the current market conditions which in my opinion is in the long-term consolidation phase. Maybe I should wait for a signal from a higher time frame.

Stop loss was hit again, the current market conditions tend to consolidation of long-term, especially some of the euro pairs, many false signals for trend followers. Very effective for trading with no stop loss with averaging method. But it may be at high risk.

    Order 68215732
    Entry price 0.8207, stop-loss 0.8185, take profit - n/a, exit price 0.8216 by signal
Outcome +9 pips (+1.45% per capital or +14.59 USD)

Exit position after getting overbought stochastic signals in H1 before the trickery movement ahead of ECB news.
I took a short profit because I believe the market will reverse and then hit the stop loss point as happened in some of my previous positions.
Not a good outcome, and this proves that this strategy is not working properly atm.

Open position using 0.05 lot size only, because I got signal in daily time frame, but then I close position because I think I open position in strong resistance which are difficult to be penetrated in recent months. So I do not take it for long-term signal.

I found a pretty funny moment in times of ECB news release.
At first I have a short position before the release of the news because I find the signal on the daily chart.

    Short EUR/JPY
    Order 68267061
    Entry price 141.80, stop-loss 142.60, take profit - n/a, exit price 142.01 manually
Outcome -21 pips (-10.51% per capital or -105.14 USD)

Maybe I'm wrong in calculating% risk, so I use 0.5 lot size, when there is a bullish movement, I get a loss more than 10%. So I had to close my positions manually. Though the distance from the stop loss is still far away.

    2014-05-10_102603.jpg

But it turns bullish market is just a trick before rislis ECB, and then the market moves down in an instant, and then I open new positions.

    Short EUR/JPY
    Order 68277971
    Entry price 141.43, stop-loss 142.60, take profit - n/a, exit price 141.39 manually
Outcome +4 pips (+2.1% per capital or +21.14 USD)

    and

    Short EUR/JPY
    Order 68279059
    Entry price 141.55, stop-loss n/a, take profit - n/a, exit price 141.35 manually
Outcome +20 pips (+9.4% per capital or +94.38 USD)

I open 2 positions with two different targets, one position for nearest support at h4 as my target, and another position nearest support at D1 as my target, but I was worried about the market will reverse direction as before. but I was worried the same thing will happen, eventually I closed the positions in nearest support H4.

It was purely my fault psychologically.
