your better check that if your pc is infected with some kinda malware or virus that can makes your platform and pc slow or laggy or if there is something wrong with your internet or if your internet speed is much poor that can also cause this problem so better check all these to make it right

There are brokers that servers went down every hour which cause the meta trader platform to be laggy when you try to open a new order or try to close one, trading with such brokers is very hard to trade, aside from that you can experience often requote too, but you won't experience any of this when you are trading with a reliable broker and you network connection is strong.

According to the explanation I read with this thread, it may not be the cause of malware, it may be the cause of the internet which the trader is using. The traders with the best trading practice will go for the best internet provider since this is their business, it should not be traded anyhow. The trader will have to be working with good computer that can not cause any problem to his trading.

I found out that mt4 and mt5 terminal are good trading terminal to make use in forex field. However there could be a possibility for mt4 or mt5 terminal to be laggy in the mind that it can be affected by poor internet connection which normally comes up anytime. For us to be more safer in the market then it's important that we make use of stop loss and take profits in our trade.

There are many reasons that make the platform laggy
- This may be because of a large number of indicators attached and sometimes one bad indicator could cause that
-There may be a problem with the server of the broker
-Sometimes this happens when there is a strong economic news

as far as i understand may be it can be by your internet as if your internet connection is having some kindda problem in connecting you with your server or if your internet speed is much poor that it is talking much time to work with your server,so better if there is something downloading that is making your internet speed slow.

Those are the two things I can think of when there is slowness with MT4 terminal. It is better that the trader know the problem so that it can be fixed to avoid the same problem reoccurring next time. And it is better that the traders change the server of the broker if the problem continue, and also change internet connection to a faster one that is realible.

I have iterated it on this forum that slow Internet connection and server of the broker could be the main cause of the lagging issue on the mt4 trading platform. Those points were based on the explanation of the problem that the brother claimed, there are more. If it is offline slowness, the gadget virus could be the cause, or the overloading of the trading platform itself.

Slow network connection and broker server are the only possible reasons for laggy movement in mt4, this terminal itself will never be laggy for an other reason aside from slow network and down of broker server this are the two reasons why you might experience laggy movement in mt4 terminal some times.
