as far as i know the reason behind that is if u have a slow internet connection or some other problem in your internet or if the performance of your pc is slow some like if your pc is infected by malware or virus that causing the platform performance laggy
Well if you find out that mt4 seems to be laggy then you should consider to check your internet connection because such problem can make mt4 to be so lagging. Bad Internet connecting is just the common thing that is causing the mt4 trading platform to be slowing down, and in that process, it might be laggy indeed. well it happens if your internet connection is much bad,because the platform dont need much speed,it uses less.But it can happen because of internet if connection is quite very poor,or if your pc or lappy in infected with viruses or some other malware that is making the platform to work laggy. So make sure both are clear then check your platform if it still laggy or not

i do agree with some points above that we need good or strong internet connection, and make sure that we have good devices with enough RAM nad clear from the viruses
and at last, we need to choose the right brokerd who offer stable and past server then we can analyze the market and make decision and at last execute the position properly
