If what you mean is that your trade was not closed on time when you hit close on the terminal or that your profit closed lower than your expected profit then it means that you have a slow or bad internet connection which is delaying your orders from communicating quickly with the server, so try to get a better internet connection.
I think slow internet connection is the main cause of such problems. I also faced same problem when my internet connection goes slow. Specially at the pick hour in country this types of slow connection are found here. When internet connection becomes faster after a while then the problem is solved.
well I think when internet is slow so its mean the main cause of such problem, so I also faced same problem when my internet connection goes slow , so same here that you have a slow or bad internet connection which is delaying your orders from communication quickly with the server so must try to get a better internet connection now.
If I understand what you mean,are you saying that when you try to execute an order it takes time,well this experience can be defined by your internet speed,if your internet speed is slow expect that your order execution would be slow too,let me give you an example let's say you try to open a page on your browser but it takes time,this is due to your internet speed and also most likely if the sever you are trying to access is experiencing lots of traffic,I guess this same traffic issue might also affect order execution,that's why your broker has multiple servers to overcome heavy traffic on a particular sever,but I can assure you that 80 percent of the time you experience slow execution its mainly due to the poor internet service your internet provider offers,so if its unbearable switch network.Quote:

There must be some problems that may cause your MT4 laggy when you are trying to cut your position. I think you have problem in internet connection. Kindly check your connection or try to disconnect and connect it again. This method always works for me. Otherwise, you have problem with your PC/ laptop that you use for trading. Maybe your PC/ laptop infected by malware so all the system works slower than before.
that could be the problem although metatrader platform is designed to work with the slowest internet connection,sometimes my internet connection is so slow that almost all application don't work but the only application that works is metatrader,and it loads charts and quotes with minimum connection also.Quote:

as trader business is entirely online and we depend on the internet 100% to carry on our forex business then as you said we should try to get the faster and the most stable and reliable internet connection we can get our hands on because this is a very vital and critical matter for a currency trader,if internet stops all your business stops.Quote:

Yes i also faced that kind of problems many times,i do not know too much about that,but it's true that in my country internet connection speed never remains same,that basically cause more problems to our trading software because good internet speed is best for trading platform to do good trading..
Dear sir, kindly take some time to see the various reason that cause our trading platform laggy in the previous page in this thread. Some of traders here said that it is because of bad internet connection and some said that the problem is in the trading platform but not MT4 provided by RoboForex but other brokers. If the problem is the connection, then we can check our modem or wifi to find if there any error that may occur sometime.Quote:

Do not think that it is the fault of the mt4 trading platform, it might be the fault of the broker that you are using or the internet service that you are using personally. As i have being using the mt4 trdaing platform for over 9 years now, and it has been the best that i have ever used. well, i don't face this kind of problem in my meta trader. i don't know how and why you are getting this kind of problem. you might have a slow internet connection or may be the market was so volatile that the server gets busy or stuck. this problem is common for 1 or 2 times but you will not going to face this is problem frequently.
Some may trade without lagging with their trading platform but some others face it. Maybe you have good internet connection or you have well-protected laptop from virus so that your trading platform not laggy and face such common problem. Though the platform laggy but I never get mine disconnected. Maybe there is a problem with the connection but the price keep moving even slow.Quote:

its not true, mt4 is not a that big software that can slow your entire computer. i think If you use basic MT4 with minimum indicator, that will be fine. But for them who love to use too much indicator, it will surely impact on their computer performance.my laptop becomes slow but i was thinking it is just my laptop. i think with mt4 software is there have no probmlem
How many charts do you have open, and more importantly, what indicators do you have on the chart and how many of them do you have, When you have certain memory and CPU intensive indicators it can really slow down your computer, bringing it to a halt, no matter how fast your computer is. Therefore, only have essential charts and indicators open in Metatrader as Metatrader seems to use excessive computer resources.
I agree with you sir. I think the reason why our computer or laptop become so laggy because we use multiple indicators at one chart. This will slow down our laptop/PC performance since a lot of indicators use more CPU usage. If we still want to use multiple indicators, we better close other opened programs and applications that may reduce the performance such as our internet browser.Quote:

It did not depend on meta trader, Trading operations most of depend on the broker, your system and your internet connection also matter in this. But speed of execution really matter with your broker when you are using a good system and internet connection. With some of broker it's really fast and some are slow in it.
Before selecting any broker you need to make your own research for that and always consider execution speed because it really matter in volatile market.
I don't think so bro, maybe your internet connections is in low speed so the metatrader become slow too and most of time lost connection. In this matter, you need to change internet connection with the better speed or re-install the MT4 terminal on your computer/laptop.
well this could be cause my several things , one of which is your own internet connection ...its fastness when it comes to connectivity and also its ability to carry heavy loads like the live streaming of the meta trader 4 as well as the market volatility at the time of the trade closure initiation and then te type of forex broker that you are using .
When we're closing order indeed usually MT4 will be slower because we were giving orders that need to be executed by the server, so the server will accept command orders we make from trading so dense that affect the performance of MT4. Actually it is not happen when we close the profit only, but it often happens when we open and close orders.
Yes, same like you too sir, at first I didn't know why my platform became so laggy time after time. Then I remove my indicators one by one and the problem solved, my MT4 response faster than before. And I think, using a lot of indicators in one chart will not increase our trading skills but only make us confuse.Quote:
